Can a member of a veteran’s family use the urgent care benefit?
Currently, the urgent care benefit is not transferable to family members. However, AFC Urgent Care Southcenter accepts a wide range of insurance carriers and offers low cost treatment for self-pay patients.
Is the number of times I can use this benefit limited?
There is no limit to the number of times a Veteran can use the urgent care benefit in a calendar year.
What kind of services are offered at urgent care?
AFC Urgent Care Southcenter offers a wide range of services for patients, including individual and employment care. Some of the services we can provide include:
- Flu shots (covered annually by the VA urgent care benefit)
- Wellness visits
- Employment physicals
- Injury diagnosis and treatment
- Lab work and blood testing
- Drug testing
- Treatment from injuries sustained in minor motor vehicle accidents
